So you've decided to embark on a ski vacation to Fernie Alpine Resort in British Columbia, Canada.
You were likely swayed by a number of reasons: the promise of pillowy powder snow, the myriad of runs available for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels, and the charming "Legend of the Griz." Top that off with the atmosphere of traditional mining town and bohemian back-country, and you've made an excellent choice for your destination.
There's only one problem. How to decide where to stay?
You could leave it up to the hotels to tell you where you're Fernie accomodation is located (something they may not do until after you book). Or you could invest your own time scouring the web for various Fernie maps, descriptions of Fernie accomodation regions, and recommendations from other visitors to Fernie.
But wouldn't you rather have the hard work done for you? Then you could spend more time doing squats, leg raises, and making sure your ski or snowboard equipment still fits and hasn't grown soggy with neglect and mold.
Luckily, I've put together a Fernie accomodation cheat sheet to give you an idea where you should stay based on the activities and experiences you desire.
The Four Glorious Regions Of Fernie Accomodation
While Fernie is the fastest growing mountain resort in Canada, it remains entirely walkable, so you don't have to worry about being too far from the action. Then again, there are a number of compelling reasons to stay outside the resort in the city of Fernie.
